Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8 L USM Reviews

I have had this lens for about eight years. I used to use it more before I converted to digital 1.6 and lost the 28mm wide side. It is extremely sharp and clear edge to edge on my 1.6 SLR. I just did a 13x19 close-up of a cat. You can count every hair and the color is stunning. The detail still surprises me. It is fairly light for a large lens. I have used it for sports, weddings, portraits, and general professional photography. I am a sharpness nut and this fills the bill.

I use this lens on Canon 1 Ds MkII and Canon 1V with film
this is a best lens for general shooting. I prefer this model than 24-70/2.8L because I like less weight and more pleasing look and bokeh.
Sharpness is perfect, especially on the film. I use 25 efke BW film, scan it's via Imacon X5 scaner on 6300 dpi, the sharpness is gorgeous.
