Samsung-Pentax?

Does anyone know it the lenses and camera from Samsung are actually identical? I'm anticipating a GX-10 or K10D, and they appear to come from the same factory and are identical according to some forum notes. Samsung has a better lens deal for starters.

The Samsung products are indeed made in the Pentax factory. The pentax K10D is due out very soon, and that's what I'll be buying.

However, there is a very attractive deal on the 6.1MP Samsung body with 18-55mm and 50-200mm lenses for £399.00 That is fantastic value, and if i were looking at that resolution it would be hard to resist.

Do the "Schneider" lenses have SMC coating? I don't know, although I am sure the lenses themselves are the same. Perhaps a close look at the coating colour compared to a Pentax version would be interesting.

I was in St Helens today and there in a shop window was a Samsung GX-1L with its kit lens. I have to say that the reflections in the lens looked exactly the same as my Pentax SMC version.

This is not conclusive, but it is interesting.
