MTF Tests
Although I may have missed it, I have been unable to find any information on this site about the methods and procedures that are used to perform the MTF measurements that are provided.
Are they made with a digital camera or are they made using more sophisticated equipment? Also, how many lenses were used to establish the presented MTF data? Is it a sample of one?
Elucidation would be appreciated.

mtf curves are made with sophisticated equipment costing more than $50,000. They are not made with digital cameras, professional or otherwise. Optikos makes a typical mtf tester.
