Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM AF

I have been looking for a zoom lens for years, that will "match" a single focal length. I do fine art B&W Windows photography, Ref. 3.
It appears that Sigma lens, per Ref. 1, will meet my requirements. Sigma SQF Test matches Nikkor SQF Test, Ref. 2, so far it looks good. No MTF from Sigma but previous model, 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG, MTF good, but not single focal length quality. Any user comments?
