Leica Elmarit-S 30mm f/2.8 ASPH Released
Leica's S-System now comprises of five focal lengths as they've added a 30mm, wide-angle lens to the range today.
Leica say their new Elmarit-S 30 mm f/2.8 ASPH lens, with its wide angle of view equivalent to 24mm in 35mm format, offers maximum contrast, high resolution and extremely low distortion throughout its entire focusing range. They say it also has an excellent control of flare, ensuring high-contrast images are produced, even when shooting a backlit subject.
The Leica Elmarit-S 30 mm f/2.8 ASPH features arobust bayonet mount, is fully sealed against dust and spray and is supplied with a rectangular hood.
The lens is scheduled to be available from December 2011. Pricing will be announced nearer to the time of product availability. Visit Leica for more information.
