The Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 lens has the brightest / largest aperture available on a Micro Four Thirds lens available from Panasonic or Olympus, and as such with the Leica quality of manufacture commands a high price of around £489. There also appears to be some purple fringing particularly on the chrome highlights of the cafetiere in the photo above, although other photos, where the aperture has been stopped down, show excellent detail and sharpness. The Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 lens could also be of particular interest to video users. We expect to review this lens shortly.
